What to do when the WordPress editor will not load

1 min read

Editor loading problems are often browser-related. Keep troubleshooting safe and leave plugin changes to FoxDev on managed sites.

Steps #

  1. Refresh the editor page once.
  2. Open the same page in a private or incognito window.
  3. Temporarily disable browser extensions, especially ad blockers and script blockers.
  4. Try another browser.
  5. Note whether the rest of wp-admin still works.
  6. Capture a screenshot of any blank panel, spinner, or visible error.
  7. Do not deactivate plugins or switch themes to test.
  8. Submit a support request at Submit Ticket with those details.

Expected result #

Either the editor loads after a browser-side check, or FoxDev has a clear report without risky site changes.

If the problem continues #

Leave the site as-is. Disabling plugins or themes on production can create larger outages.
